Club History

On September 18, 2007, the Federal Communications Commission granted a license to the Orinda Radio Interest Group (now the Lamorinda Area Radio Interest Group aka LARIG). The call sign is K6ORI, and the Trustee is Keith Riley.

This club call sign allows us to identify the Lamorinda Area Radio Interest Group with one consistent call sign, regardless of the individual amateur operators running a particular net.

In August 2012, Lamorinda Area Radio Interest Group was incorporated as a non-profit corporation under California laws. LARIG is now a 501(c)(3) corporation. Copies of our organizational information are available to LARIG members upon request.

LARIG’s primary web site is http://www.larig.org

If you are interested in learning about amateur radio or getting involved in emergency communications, we encourage you to join us as a member. The annual membership dues are $25.

LARIG maintains a Facebook page at:  LARIG Facebook Page
